In July 2025, Julie Richard, a public health nurse and the newly appointed manager at Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH), was tasked with her first major assignment: launching a new series of vaccination clinics ahead of the upcoming flu season. Hospitals across Ontario were facing higher demand for care, leading to longer wait times and increasing strain on existing services.
