In June 1994, Dwight Rollins, vice-president of finance for Ventra Group Inc. (Ventra), was negotiating the acquisition of Peerless-Cascade, a private company with manufacturing facilities in Windsor, Ontario, and Russelville, Kentucky. Ventra's main activity was the design and manufacture of parts for the automotive industry in North America and Japan through metal stamping and assembly and plastic injection molding process from facilities in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
