This case describes the decision to fire an employee, from the perspective of a general manager of a performing-arts company. The scope of the case includes the organization of the company, the decision to hire the employee, his performance and the decision to end the employment relationship. There is an exhibit in the case that describes the general manager's selection practices. The case also includes two role-playing exercises.
